  1. The strange thing is that affirmations do work. The true reason is that we are actually emptiness (used in the buddhist sense of the word). That means that whatever we think we are is just that: what we think we are. There is no fundamental reality behind. That means that we can change our perceived reality by changing our thoughts. Exactly what the placebo effect is!
