God Changes Lives

Many years ago, I’d say I was half-hearted or lukewarm and didn’t put much thought into God. Life took over, and I went through the motions and lacked self-confidence.

I didn’t love myself.

Then a few years ago, I was sick of the way I thought about life.

I decided to make it a point to make some changes. I wanted to be happier and spend more time with God.

I began to pray more, read the bible, and study his word with a small group.

As I became closer to God, I noticed slight changes in myself. I could feel his presence watching over me, and as I became more involved, my self-esteem gradually increased, and I noticed I was a lot happier.

Typically in this world, self-esteem is defined as having confidence in one’s worth or abilities.

As a Christian, I believe that having self-esteem is the confidence that I am who God says I am.

God made me. I may think I’m not good enough sometimes, but in his eyes, I’m perfect.

God made me just the way I am, with my abilities, and he’s equipped me the way he sees fit to do the work he wants me to do in this world.
